Tomorrow, Monday, Oct. 20, the Blue Valley North girls golf team will compete for the 6A state title at Topeka Country Club.

Topeka Country Club is a tree lined course that requires a straight tee ball. The course is not  long, and it is very similar to the Country Club of Leawood, the Mustangs’ home course.

“Today, the course played similar to the Country Club of Leawood,” senior Cecilia Ryan said. “We are really familiar with [the Country Club of Leawood], so we feel great about tomorrow.”

The Mustangs are paired with Lawrence Free State, Maize, and Olathe East. Their tee times begin at 9:20 a.m. and end at 10:10 a.m. To play well, the ladies plan to keep a positive attitude.

“We need to stay focused and positive in order to play to the best of our abilities,” senior Jean Tyrrell said.

If  the opportunity arises tomorrow, come root on the Mustangs in Topeka. The top three teams will be awarded trophies, and the top 20 individuals will be given medals.
