Looking for something to do this week with the family? Here are some local destinations boasting dozens of fun, fall activities!

 

Carolyn’s Country Cousins is a massive pumpkin patch with over 50 acres of pumpkins to pick from. Geared with a petting zoo, a corn maze, a playground, and a ring of train tracks known as Little Buds RailRoad for kids, there is plenty to do for all ages.

Johnson Farms has over 30 acres of pumpkins for you to pick, or you can get them pre-pricked from their Pumpkin Barn. There’s lots of activities for the whole family; they have a tractor pulled wagon ride, farm animal corral, a pumpkin cannon, daily Pig Races and access to 60 acres of fall produce including pumpkins, gourds, squash and fall veggies.

The Louisburg Cider Mill has a massive pumpkin patch for picking, a hay castle, maze, wagon rides and fun for the whole family. Each October they host a ‘Ciderfest’ with great food, entertainment and crafts, and, of course, their homemade apple cider.
