North Star showcase

Last night the North Stars held their annual showcase in the main gym. The showcase included four team routines, three small groups and an officer dance. The purpose was to perform each dance, in costume, before they compete later this month. With an audience comprised of parents, North Star alumni and students, the dancers were able to perform comfortably in front of a forgiving audience. Last night was the first time that a majority of the dances were performed outside of practice.

“As a North Star alum myself, I know that routines aren’t perfect for competition by showcase, but I definitely felt like the team routines were better than they were in the past. The team only needs to clean a few things up and make sure they keep the smiles and energy. They will surely do awesome at competitions,” said North Star alumni Emma Mikulecky.

Come see the North Stars compete at Olathe South High School on Saturday, Jan. 17.
