As Mustang football gears up for its 2025-2026 season, students around BVN anticipate going out to the DAC on a Friday night and cheering on their school. The most anticipated of all for the student section, however, are the themes. Students dress up according to them, planning matching outfits and fun group ideas. This leaves the biggest question of all on the table: What are the themes this season? Here, we’ll go over the top five for this season, ranking them from least to most popular!
- Pink Out – Bishop Miege
Starting the list is Pink Out. A rush of color theme, the Pink Out game at Bishop Miege in week seven, raises money and awareness for breast cancer research. On top of a good cause, the pop of color from the players switching from their navy and white to pink accessories is neat as well. Similar to all of the other color themes, however, it’s hard for students and fans to coordinate and dress for because it’s too plain.
- Camo/Military Night – Blue Valley Northwest
Camo, also known as Military Night, is the season opener and a great game against BVNW. Elevate this theme to the top half among the eight themes. Camo is a great theme because it looks good and it’s easy to style. Camo is a classic that, unlike some of the other themes, is timeless and perfect to repeat. For some of these games, students and fans will have to spend their hard-earned money if they want to dress well. Camo resolves this problem by being a common yet fashionable style.
- Country Vs. Country Club – St. Thomas Aquinas
It’s important not to repeat the themes and have fresh, fun ones each year. The Country Vs. Country Club knocks that criteria out of the park. This theme is funny, new and exciting to dress for. Occurring in the last week of the season, the fun nature of the theme will have students and fans in attendance, and it will have them loud. Against a tough opponent like Aquinas, this crowd assistance will be needed!
- Gold Out – Blue Valley West
Gold out against Blue Valley West will be a great game, and it’s complemented by a theme that is in honor of St. Jude’s cancer awareness. The money that the school raises each year goes to St. Jude. Gold is a great color to dress in and match with, especially when paired with the Mustang navy!
- Disco – Blue Valley High
Speaking of new themes, this one is refreshing and fun! Happening at Blue Valley High, Disco is the PERFECT opportunity to dress for the 70’s in bright, shiny clothes and cheer on North! The term “look good, feel good, play good” definitely matters here at Blue Valley High’s big stadium. This one is sure to be a great environment for some football and rounds out this list at number one! Go North!
