Josie is a junior and is a web editor of “The North Star.” This is her second year on staff. She has covered sports, student life, and spotlight stories. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys playing the flute,and softball. She is excited to get to continue writing and sharing stories with her friends and sharing them with the BVN community.
Anthony Sutcliffe, Staff Writer
Anthony Sutcliffe is a sophomore and Writer of “The North Star.” This is his 1st year on staff. He is excited to write about sports at Blue Valley North. Outside of the newsroom, he enjoys Marching Band, Concert Band and playing baseball.
Addison DeVore, Editor-In-Chief
Addison is a senior and editor-in-chief of “The North Star.” This is her 3rd year on staff. She has covered sports, academics and holiday controversies. Outside of the newsroom, she is a part of the American Saddlebred Horse Association and enjoys reading and going to concerts. She is excited to photograph events and put out intriguing issues for this school year!
Cash Durbin, Social Media Editor
Cash is a senior and social media editor and staff writer of “The North Star.” This is his second year on staff. He has covered sports and student life. Outside of the newsroom, he enjoys soccer, video games, and spending time with friends. He is excited to photograph different sports at North and manage social media.
Anjali Kambhampati, Design Editor and Copy Editor
Anjali is a senior and design editor and copy editor of “The North Star.” This is her third year on staff. She has covered topics regarding special education, student life, and entertainment. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys StuCo, DECA, and Hope Club. She is excited to take photos at game days and continue making designs for her stories.

Van is a sophomore and staff writer of “The North Star.” This is his 1st year on staff. He is interested in writing about school events and issues. Outside of the newsroom, he enjoys (or is a part of) theater and writing. He is excited to photograph and cover the many school events this year.

Safa is a sophomore and staff writer of “The North Star.” This is her first year on staff. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys baking, playing basketball and reading. She is excited to write about Blue Valley North’s sport teams and student life.

Olivia is a sophomore and a staff writer of “The North Star.” This is her first year on staff. She has covered stories about the marching band and social media for 21st century journalism class. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys reading, baking and volunteering at the library. She is excited to take photos at school events and write about a wide range of topics.

Hannah Markiewicz is a junior and social media editor and staff writer of “The North Star.” This is her 2nd year on staff. She has covered district finances, student’s travel and more. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys volunteering with animals, going on walks and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to have a new role as one of the social media editors this school year.
