Twix vs Snickers

Prediction: Snickers may be a classic, but Twix has been more popular recently. Both have caramel and chocolate with their own unique twists on the combo. They also both have strong advertising and can be found anywhere you get candy. I think it’ll be close, but I predict Twix will win this match-up. People seem to like crunch more than chewy, and Twix is exactly that.

Milk Duds vs Milky Way

Prediction: Milk Duds are a sleeper in this bracket. I don’t expect them to win the entire thing, but I think they can beat the Milky Way, which, let’s be honest, is an average candy bar. Milk Duds are just addictively satisfying, and it doesn’t help that I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone actually ask for a Milky Way. Milk Duds for the win.

Skittles vs M and M’s

Prediction: I personally like M and M’s more than Skittles, but my personal opinion is not what this is about, and I am aware enough that Skittles has a clear edge over M and M’s. The flavor variation versus a bunch of little chocolate buttons is a huge advantage. So I’d expect Skittles to win this round.

Reese’s vs Kit-Kat

Prediction: These candies are both very popular and I love both of them. Crisp heavenly Kit-Kats, or savory and sweet Reese’s. I could really see either of them winning this round, but either way, I expect it to be close. Kit-Kat should win though. I think people prefer crunchy rather than creamy, and that will give Kit-Kat the edge over Reese’s.

Sour Patch Kids vs Nerd Clusters

Prediction: Sour Patch Kids have been a staple and extremely popular candy, but recently Nerd Clusters have become more popular. That being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if they upset Sour Patch Kids. Both are relatively sour candies, and both are very addictive (in my own opinion). Still, Sour Patch Kids is undeniably a classic and therefore the likely winner.

Dum Dums vs Twizzlers

Prediction: Dum Dums have a special place in my heart, whereas Twizzlers taste like bland plastic that deserves a place in a garbage can. Unfortunately, people love to eat garbage and I expect Twizzlers to win. 🙁

Hershey’s vs Candy Corn

Prediction: Candy Corn is an extremely polarizing candy, with some people thinking it tastes like wax and others who are obsessed with it (me being one of those people). Whereas Hershey’s is the pinnacle of a basic chocolate bar and you can never go wrong with it. Because of the lack of such a polarized opinion, I expect Hershey’s to win.

York Mints vs Butterfinger

Prediction: Two less popular candies that are both average at best, but there’s still a correct answer. Butterfinger can be messy and just forgettable (in my opinion, old people please don’t kill me). York Mints are really the only good mint candy that exists, and yes they are better than Junior Mints–no question. York Mints all the way baby!!!
