Lilly Copeland is a junior and staff writer of “The North Star.” This is her first year on staff. She has covered student life and is interested in current events. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys StuCo, track and playing tennis. She is excited to cover new topics and bring light to issues within BVN.
Madi Garrelts, Copy Editor
Madi is a junior and a copy editor of “The North Star.” This is her second year on staff. She has covered student life and development in KC and is interested in events happening in KC and literature. Outside of the newsroom, she is a part of the tennis team and has played the viola for seven years. She is excited to become closer with everyone in the newsroom and can’t wait to write more on the current events happening within BVN.
Sejin Hahn, Web Editor
Sejin Hahn is a senior and a web editor of “The North Star.” This is their third year on staff. He has covered editorials and hard news. Outside of the newsroom, he enjoys playing the guitar, getting ice cream and running for Cross Country. Sejin is excited to build connections with new staff writers as well as improve on editing and writing skills.

Paul Struby is a sophomore and staff writer of “The North Star.” This is his first year on staff. He is looking forward to covering sports and student life. Outside of the newsroom, he enjoys soccer and watching other sports. He is excited to have his story in the paper and to be on staff.
Q Wallace, Staff Writer
Quentin “Q” Wallace is a junior and staff writer of “The North Star.” This is his second year on staff. He has covered sports. Outside of the newsroom, he is on the football team and is the starting tight end and enjoys a nice apple pie. He is excited to begin a new year and become a better newsie!

Emmett Abar is a senior and design editor of “The North Star.” This is their 3rd year on staff. They have covered both hard news and student life. Outside of the newsroom, they play lacrosse, enjoy listening to music and hanging out with friends. They are excited to have a great last year on staff and write some interesting stories.
Cash Durbin, Staff Writer
Cash Durbin is a junior and staff writer of “The North Star.” This is his first year on staff. He is looking to cover sports and student life. Outside of the newsroom, he enjoy soccer, tennis and coaching. His is excited to take photos and research extracurriculars around the school.

Alegria Aguilera is a senior and an editor-in-chief of “The North Star.” This is her second year on staff. She has covered student life and current events and is interested in politics and mental health. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys playing guitar, writing music and fiber arts. She is excited to gain new editing skills and work to provide high quality stories to BVN students.
