With Homecoming behind us, there are plenty of new couples at BVN who are looking forward to spending the “ber” months together. However, it can be a struggle to find the perfect spot for a date. Luckily, there are plenty of places in our community that are perfect for a date this fall season. From coffee to pumpkin patches, Kansas City has so many places to make lasting memories with your significant other this fall.
Firstly, there are several spots nearby for coffee dates. The cozy atmosphere of a coffee shop can be the perfect place to escape the colder weather of fall. A warm drink in a chilly environment can make for a relaxing evening, afternoon, or morning with your boyfriend or girlfriend. Obviously, Starbucks is an option. But let’s be honest, Starbucks can get a little bit repetitive. Some other well-rated options in the area include Outta the Blue Cafe and Bear Necessities Coffee Bar. Outta the Blue is a beachy-themed cafe, while Bear Necessities has a more modern aesthetic. Both of these, however, are cozy and relaxed places and both are relatively inexpensive as well.
Another—perhaps more underrated—spot for dates during the fall is a bookstore. Similar to coffee shops, book stores offer a relaxed, cozy and quiet atmosphere. Places like these are not only perfect for reading, but also for spending time with the people who are special to you. Most book stores offer hot beverages as well. One great example of a cozy, relaxed bookstore is Barnes and Noble. Located in Town Center Plaza, it is only a six-minute drive from BVN. Also, there are plenty of other stores to walk through in Town Center Plaza. Overall, this is just a great place to pass the time with your boyfriend or girlfriend this fall.
Lastly, but arguably the most anticipated part of this list, is pumpkin patches. Pumpkin patches are a staple of the fall season. The colors and aesthetic make this fall date a perfect opportunity for photos and long-lasting memories with your significant other. Some highly rated pumpkin patches in the area include Johnson Farm Plants and Pumpkins, Faulkner’s Ranch Event Venue and KC Pumpkin Patch.
